What Happens After You Ship
Every buyer we list follows the same shape of process. The timings below are what the buyers publish; each buyer’s own payment speed and price-lock window are shown on its offer row.
The week after you click Sell now
Compare and pick a buyer
Choose your device, its configuration and an honest condition. Every buyer’s published price for that exact spec is shown highest first. Takes about a minute.
Lock the price and ship free
You finish the sale on the buyer’s own site. They email a prepaid label — usually the same day — and hold the quoted price for their price-lock window (7–30 days, shown on every offer). Ship in any box; most sellers use the one it came in.
Inspection, then payment
The buyer inspects within 1–3 business days of delivery. If it matches what you described you’re paid by the method you chose. If they think it doesn’t, they send a revised offer you can accept or decline — declined devices come back to you free with every buyer we list.
Each step, in detail
| Step | What happens | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Accept the offer | On the buyer’s site you confirm the configuration and condition and enter your payment details. The price is locked from this moment for the buyer’s stated window. | Minutes |
| 2. Label arrives | A prepaid label is emailed. Some buyers also mail a box; you never need one — any sturdy box with padding is fine. | Same day, occasionally next business day |
| 3. You ship | Drop it at the carrier on the label. Keep the tracking number — the buyer’s price lock counts from acceptance, and tracking proves you shipped inside it. | 2–4 days in transit |
| 4. Inspection | The buyer tests power, screen, buttons, cameras, battery health and checks for account locks or a blacklisted IMEI. Most publish a checklist. | 1–3 business days after delivery |
| 5a. Offer confirmed | If the device matches what you described, payment is issued by the method you chose. | Same day to 7 business days depending on buyer and method |
| 5b. Revised offer | If it doesn’t match, the buyer sends a new price with the reason (a scratch you missed, lower battery health, an account still signed in). You accept or decline. | Usually 5–7 days to respond |
| 6. Return if declined | Every buyer we list ships the device back at its own cost if you decline a revised offer. | 3–7 days |
Why offers get revised, and how to avoid it
Almost every revised offer comes from one of four things: a condition graded a tier too high, an account still signed in (Find My, Activation Lock, Google account), a carrier balance or blacklisted IMEI, or a battery below the buyer’s threshold. Grade with the condition guide on each category page, follow the wipe guide, and check with your carrier that the device is paid off before you ship.
