How It Works

How to sell game consoles online

1

Compare and pick a buyer

Choose your game consoles, its configuration and an honest condition. Every buyer’s published price for that exact spec is shown highest first. Takes about a minute.

2

Lock the price and ship free

You finish the sale on the buyer’s own site. They email a prepaid label — usually the same day — and hold the quoted price for their price-lock window (7–30 days, shown on every offer). Ship in any box; most sellers use the one it came in.

3

Inspection, then payment

The buyer inspects within 1–3 business days of delivery. If it matches what you described you’re paid by the method you chose. If they think it doesn’t, they send a revised offer you can accept or decline — declined devices come back to you free with every buyer we list.

Condition

Grading your game consoles: the condition guide

ConditionWhat It Means
Brand NewSealed in the box, never activated.
Like NewLooks unused. No scratches or marks. Everything works.
GoodLight wear you have to look for. No cracks. Everything works.
FairVisible scratches, dents or scuffs. Glass intact. Everything works.
CrackedCracked screen or back glass, or one part not working. Still powers on.
BrokenWon't turn on, no display, or water damage. Sold for parts.

One scale, used everywhere on the site. Sealed devices quote at the buyer's Like New price. Working with normal wear is Good. Disc drive problems, a failed HDMI port or a sticking controller are Cracked; a console that will not boot is Broken. Sign out of your PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo account and factory reset before shipping.

Questions

Selling game consoles online — common questions

Do I need to include the controller?

Most buyers price the console with one controller and the power/HDMI cables. If you are missing them the offer is a little lower; extra controllers and games are not usually priced in, so sell those separately.

Is a digital edition worth less than the disc version?

Yes, a bit. The disc drive is a resale feature. Pick the right edition on the model page — they are listed as separate models.

Can I sell a console that is banned or has a broken drive?

A broken drive is Cracked and sells. Accounts are not transferred so a ban on your account does not matter, but a console banned at the hardware level will be treated as Broken.

Will I get more selling locally?

Consoles are heavy to post, which is one reason mail-in offers can lag local ones. If a local buyer is listed near you, compare both on the model page before you decide.

Have a buyer near you? Local usually pays the same day and confirms the price before you hand the device over — often worth more than the extra you’d get by post.
